Plate feeder, also known as plate feeder, plate feeder, chain plate feeder, mainly uses horizontal or inclined direction to continuously and evenly distribute and transfer materials to crushers, conveyors or other working machinery. The plate feeder is especially suitable for conveying materials with large specific gravity, large particle size and strong abrasiveness, and can be installed horizontally or obliquely.
How it works
According to the production capacity, the plate feeder can be divided into three types: heavy plate feeder, medium plate feeder and light plate feeder. Among them, the heavy plate feeder can convey materials with larger particle size, the material width is generally not more than 60% of the plate width, and the conveying plate width is generally 1250mm-3150mm; The block weight of materials conveyed by light and medium apron feeders shall not exceed 140kg, the bulk density per cubic meter shall not exceed 1200kg, and the width of conveying plate shall generally be 500mm-1250mm.
As shown in the right figure, during the operation of the plate feeder, the high-strength bulldozer die forging chain is used as the traction part, and two chains are connected into a closed loop by bypassing a pair of driving chain wheels installed at the head of the machine body and a pair of tension wheels installed at the tail of the machine body. Each link of the two rows of chains is provided with a conveyor trough of a heavy structure which is overlapped with each other to form a continuous conveying line capable of carrying materials. The dead weight and the weight of the material are supported by a plurality of rows of supporting wheels, chain supporting wheels and slideway beams which are arranged on the machine body. The transmission system is connected with a speed reducer through an AC variable frequency speed regulation motor, and then the expansion sleeve is directly connected with a driving device to drive the carrying mechanism to run at a low speed. The materials discharged from the tail silo are transported to the front of the machine body along the conveying line and discharged, so as to realize the purpose of continuously and uniformly feeding the working machinery below.
The production capacity of the apron feeder depends on the actual loading width of the conveyor trough, the average height of the material layer and the running speed. The main way to adjust the productivity is to adjust the speed of the motor and change the running speed.
Performance characteristics

(1) It has a wide range of applications. It can convey materials or articles with sharp edges and strong abrasion to the conveyor, and the conveyed articles are blocky (large particle size). It is also suitable for conveying high temperature materials below 400 ℃.
(2) The weight distribution is flexible. The plate feeder can be driven left or right, and can convey materials horizontally or obliquely. Its tilt angle is between 0-30 degrees, which can be selected by the user according to the actual site.
(3) The traction chain has high strength and can be used for long-distance conveying; the chain plate has high bending strength and impact resistance.
